Description |
Cheyenne or Crow beaded moccasins with soft sole and moderate beadwork consisting of a central panel of geometric shapes in a blue-red-blue pattern, that is further divided into more shapes including red and green triangles. Multiple lines of clear white beads in a dashed pattern traverse the face of the moccasin from left to right, with a border of running squares along the base. The cuff is trimed with blue and yellow beads. Arrow-like design on the side of the moccasins and beadwork up the back of the heel. Hide is cut with no inner seam, with the rest of the seam extending up to the beadwork. Ca. 1890. |
